It’s 1964 in Tucson Arizona and a man dressed up real nice keeps cruising by in his car, would you pay him any attention?

Today we are talking about The Pied Piper of Tucson, Charles Schmid, who was the inspiration for Joyce Carol Oats short story, Where Are You Going? Where Have You Been? As well as Smooth Talk staring Laura Dern.

Schmid murdered three girls under the age of 18, in the 60s when crimes like this did not seem to be as common and these horrible crimes shook the people of Tucson to their core.

Not only was Schmid depraved and murderers these girls but his friends assisted him.
