West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar reached areas marred by post-poll violence. Dhankhar is on a visit to Cooch Behar district where violence took place amid polls. Violence was reported in Sitalkuchi during the fourth phase of assembly polls on April 10. After reaching Cooch Behar, Dhankhar said that his duty is to uphold the Constitution. The Bengal governor will interact with victims of post-poll violence in Cooch Behar. Earlier, CM Mamata Banerjee accused guv of violating norms & planning to visit Cooch Behar. Four villagers were killed in firing by CISF personnel at Cooch Behar's Sitalkuchi. Responding to the CM Mamata, Dhankhar asked her to uphold constitutional commitments.
