Following the River Camel, walking 3 miles north from the Old Railway Bridge to Lower Beach and Harbour Cove, stunning and varied scenery on a calm March evening.

If you want a longer journey The Camel Trail heads south from Padstow on the old railway line. It is well maintained and relatively flat and follows the course of the Camel river to Wadebridge (9km), Bodmin (19km) or Wendford Bridge (29km), distances one-way. Well worth hiring bikes for a day out in either Padstow or Wadebridge (book ahead!)
