The 2016 IZIP E3 Sumo is one of the lighter weight, higher powered and more affordable off-road capable fat bikes I've tested, you get 15 mm and 12 mm thru-axles with quick release and punched out rims. Sturdy Shimano M396 hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, no motor inhibitors in the levers and the motor can start and stop a bit slower based on cadence, not as precise as torque sensing Bosch or Yamaha centerdrives. Available in two frame sizes for good fit, features four braze ons at the rear for adding an oversized cargo rack (use with trunk bag or panniers). No shift detection with this drive unit, comes pre-wired for 6 volt LED lights if you want to add them, great two year warranty with lifetime on the frame.
