MVF is one of today’s most striking and memorable Armenian bands, creating a unique blend of folk and jazz music.
The band was formed in 2011 by Miqayel Voskanyan, a tar player, singer and composer. He’s since earned quite a reputation in his native Armenia, as well as in international music circles. He is a visionary who has managed to create modern, innovative music using an ancient instrument historically limited to traditional folk music. 
MVF is made up of some of the most talented musicians of Armenia’s young generation: Miqayel Voskanyan on tar and voice, David Melkonyan on saxophone, Arman Peshtmaljyan on keys, Gurgen Ghazaryan on bass, and Movses Ghazaryan on drums.
