My sister and I have been kicking panettone recipes back and forth for years, experimenting to get it just right. This is my last pass (I think we're done) dense yet fluffy, moist, cake-like bread with just the right texture and amount of fruit.🎄
The trick? We realized the bread is so heavy (almost 3 pounds) it has to hang upside down after baking—otherwise, it collapses into itself! 😲 Many recipes don't mention this, but it's critical and this hanger is made just for panettone. After watching a few videos of panettone disasters (bread falling right out of the mold!), I held my breath and got lucky. Had enough for this year! Don't worry, I made notes.🎄
Oh, and you have to have this toasted with butter. Mindful Mediterranean people - I told you there's room for everything! 🎁
