Scleral lenses are large contact lenses which fit over the cornea and land on the sclera, the white part of the eye. Scleral contact lenses are often used for keratoconus, post surgical cases and other corneal diseases including severe dry eye disease. Scleral contacts can even be fit on normal eyes as well. When fit with scleral contact lenses for keratoconus and if worn correctly, are extremely comfortable and offer improved vision.
