Attitudes by Charles Swindoll is a piece that I give to all Level I theatre students. I use it as an introduction into the monologue segment of theatre. Although it is not an official monologue, it serves as a piece that is short enough to break down for memorization sake , as well as discovering different beats. Also, in the event that a student does not continue with their acting career, they can still walk away having learned a valuable life lesson!!! It's all about the ATTITUDE : )
