29 March: The Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Preparatory Meeting for United Nations Ocean Conference on SDG 14 got underway in Jeju, South Korea this morning. Co-organized by United Nations Office for Sustainable Development and the Division for Sustainable Development of UN DESA, the meeting was requested by SIDS to assist in their preparation for the UN Ocean Conference. Representatives from more than 35 SIDS are taking advantage of the Jeju Meeting as a space for exchanging views to better understand each other's priorities and expectations and how to positively contribute to the success of the Ocean Conference.
