In his welcome remarks for the USSPACECOM Legal Conference 2022, General James Dickinson, the Commander of U.S. Space Command, discusses the importance of outer space law and responsible behavior in outer space in the context of the United States' (and the international) military environment.

The 2nd Annual USSPACECOM Legal Conference, co-hosted by the USSPACECOM Legal Office and the US Air Force Academy's Law, Technology, & Warfare Research Cell, was a 3-day event, which took place at Polaris Hall, United States Air Force Academy, and Peterson Space Force Base between 4 and 6 April 2022. The theme of the 2022 Conference was "Responsible Behavior in Space," with panels and keynotes focusing on the "Tenets of Responsible Behavior" for space operations by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in July 2021.

General Dickinson's presentation took place on 4 April 2022.
