Ultimate Trains offers an exciting look at the new technologies in a new age of high-speed train travel. The revolutionary Maglev is a magnetically levitated train that floats above tracks. At NASA, scientists dream of creating a Maglev train to space, the ultimate in train travel.

Finally, the Hypersonic Upgrade Program train, engineered by the US Airforce, is potentially the fastest thing on the surface of the planet. Built over five years at a cost of 20 million dollars, the train and test speed track in New Mexico is used for high-speed military testing. In Ultimate Trains footage from one such test is revealed, offering an exciting glimpse at record-breaking speed of 6,500 miles per hour, a speed that would take a train from New York to London in thirty-minutes!
