Here a ride video of WMATA Metrobus NEW 2021 NF Xcelsior XD40 #4508 on Rt G14 heading towards New Carrollton Station. This year WMATA has order 100 NF XD40 (4500-4599) which will replace the 2005-2006 NF DE40LFs (6001-6039), DE40LFRs (6040-6050), and major of the D40LFRs (6101-6217). Some of the 2005-2006 NF DE40LFs, DE40LFRs, and D40LFRs have already retired or have been put in the reserved fleet. These 2021 NF XD40s are the same as the 2019-2020 models no significant differences. So far Landover division has the first batch of the 2021 NF XD40s and not sure which divisions will get the next batch I'm guessing maybe Landover, Montgomery, Annex and Western division but we have to wait and see. Probably do a short mini action video of them at a later day so stay tuned.
