This Aveo was brought in for an overheating problem and the MIL on. Code P0599 is a code for the electrically heated thermostat malfunction. Turns out it has a cracked plastic thermostat housing and a failed dropping resistor for the low speed circuit of the radiator cooling fan. There will likely be a part 2. It also has a power steering leak from the left rack boot so needs a steering gear replacement.
