Dr. Waleed Albaker MD, FRCP, FACP, graduated from medical school in 2000, King Faisal University in Dammam. Joined King Fahd Hospital of the university as demonstrator in internal medicine department for two years. Went for scholarship to Canada in 2003, Dr. Albaker completed his internal medicine residency program in University of British Columbia, Vancouver. He had his American board and Canadian board in internal medicine in 2006-2007. He moved in University of Alberata, Edmonton to complete his subspecialty in Endocrinology and Diabetes. He joined King Faisal University as assistant professor in internal medicine department in 2008-2009. His awards include Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Prize for four times. He was given McKenzie prize for the best outstanding medical resident for two consecutive years from University of British Columbia. He was appointed as chief medical resident for two years in University of Albert. Dr.Albaker had attended several courses in internal medicine in mayo clinic, New Orleans, New York, and international conferences. He is a member of American College of physician and Royal College of physician and Surgeons in Canada. He is a member of American Diabetes association and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologist. He is the chairman of Internal Medicine Department at King Fahd Hospital of the university in Al Khobar.
