For the first decade of my travels, I didn't care too much about the amenities at my accommodations. I was a backpacker sleeping in $7 hammocks on the beach, or grabbing a bed in a simple guesthouse. I hardly ever slept in the bed overnight anyway 😂

But now, especially when I'm travelling with my daughter, amenities are EVERYTHING.

🍗 An on-site restaurant so you don’t have to go searching for food (especially breakfast!) and room service when you just can’t make it out

🏊🏽‍♀️ A POOL especially with a slide or play set provides hours of entertainment

🍼 Basic KITCHEN APPLIANCES like a mini fridge, microwave and kettle for all their needs

⏰ LATE CHECKOUT times because with little ones you KNOW you'll need the extra time!

👗LAUNDRY SERVICES because kids are messy and I don’t want to walk around with certain kind of soiled clothes in my luggage 😝

🌳 A GARDEN, PLAYGROUND or fun COMMON AREA for when you want to take it easy but not stay cooped up in the room
