iaomi Redmi Note 5, the successor to the most popular Redmi Note 4 smartphone in its price category, may launch soon as the device has just passed Chinese certification. This may mean that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 could be unveiled almost a year after Redmi Note 4. Considering the Indian market has been one of the biggest markets outside China, we can expect it to be launched in the country soon after launch in home country.
The leaks claim that the successor to the popular Redmi Note 4 which reportedly passed the CCC certification in China may be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The MWC 2018 is set to kick off late February. For those unaware, the Triple C is a compulsory certification for electronic items before they can be imported and sold in the Chinese market; and with the reports of the Redmi Note 5 passing the certification, we can expect the smartphone to launch late next month.
Redmi Note 5 may be priced approximately Rs. 15,000 for the base model, and Rs. 18,000 for the higher-end model. The devices are expected to be available in stores in China late next month.
