The Peter and Paul Festival is a well-known annual town festival which takes place in Bretten, Germany. The festival goes back to various shooting festival traditions and has developed into one of the most important southern German local festivals.The festival takes up the successful defense against the siege of the city by Württemberg troops under Duke Ulrich von Württemberg in 1504, as well as the pre-March vigilantes. More than 3000 people from Bretten take an active part in a wide variety of performances and events in historical costumes.
