Simple Limbal Stem Cell Transplant + Conjunctival Autografting

Simple limbal epithelial transplant is an advanced technique in which we harvest the healthy limbal stem cells from the normal eye and transplant it on the diseased eye along with amniotic membrane.

It is a very promising surgery for the treatment of LSCD ( limbal stem cell deficiency)

This 12 year old girl came to us with total LSCD after injury with chuna particles. So we did SLET with conjunctival autografting in the affected eye. The cornea which was completely vascularised became clear with a BCVA of 6/9.
