Melody in F, op.3 no.1, composed in 1852(?), dedicated to Grand Duchess Pawlowna.
Anton Rubinstein's Melody in F has a companion piece, the Melody in B, op.3 no.2; the two were meant to be played together, but the B major piece was never as popular as the F major one.
While these pieces were marked as op.3, they actually were written later than the designation suggests, coming after the op.29 Two Funeral Marches.
