Winemaker Robert Foley discusses the Terroir, Vinification, Flavor Profile, and Cellar-ability of his 2009 Claret -- a lush Cabernet Sauvignon created from the fruit of eight vineyards around the Valley and surrounding mountains.

Howell Mountain, Mt Veeder, and Atlas Peak vineyards provide structural elements that fit perfectly with the rich middle of Calistoga Cabernet to create our flagship wine, the 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Claret.

The 2009 vintage has ripe aromas of blackberry, black cherries and currents. A rich mid palate brings flavors of ripe berries and mocha and espresso. Fine gentle tannins, with a lingering finish.
