COVID-19 is a dress rehearsal for 21st century challenges. What have we learned about leadership?
In a crisis, leadership is crucial. The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the fragility of our social & economic systems, but it also laid bare that our traditional conceptions of leadership are no longer fit for purpose. A year on, the responses from governments, businesses, and communities have demonstrated a multitude of leadership styles, leaving us to determine, where have we got it right and where have things gone dangerously wrong? How can we reimagine leadership for an age of pandemics? This interactive session will convene a formidable group of thought leaders from academia and practice for a critical conversation about the current global leadership crisis. We?ll explore the skills and attitudes of system leaders, the structural barriers to change, and how we can equip a new generation of leaders for this decisive decade.
This session was curated in partnership with the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, University of Oxford.
