Hundreds of people dressed in their festive best at Cocoa Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, for the 16th annual Surfing Santas event.
The charity event brings together surf and Christmas enthusiasts, blending Florida's sunshine with the holiday spirit.
What began as a small family beach day has grown into a cherished tradition for locals and visitors alike. This year’s event attracted nearly 13,000 viewers worldwide via a live Facebook stream and raised over $100,000 for two charities: Grind for Life and the Florida Surf Museum.
Since its inception in 2009, Surfing Santas has raised nearly $400,000.
This year the event partnered with the national nonprofit WhoWePlayFor, which works to prevent Sudden Cardiac Death in young people—a leading cause of death among youth and surfers in the U.S. Alongside live music, a costume contest, and, of course, surfing Santas, attendees had the chance to learn CPR and receive free Electrocardiogram screenings, highlighting the event’s growing focus on community health and safety.
