Nationalist Democratic People's Party (NDPP) leader Neiphiu Rio took oath as the Chief Minister of Nagaland today. The BJP and NDPP alliance won 29 seats in the assembly elections. BJP chief Amit Shah, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attended the ceremony in state capital Kohima. The BJP's Y Patton also took oath as the state's deputy chief minister.
