The London Paralympic gold medal winning men's 4x100m relay team have defended their title as the world champions in Montréal tonight.
After an incredible performance on day one from debut swimmer Rowan Crothers, it was no surprise seeing him kick off the relay touching the wall in 57.86 after the first leg giving the team an edge in third place.
Three-time gold medallist for the meet so far, Matthew Cowdrey had a clean start on the second leg of the race putting the team into first place at the half way mark hitting the wall in 1:53.10, Matthew Levy took to the pool for the third leg of the race giving the final swimmer Brenden Hall a five second lead on the Brazil team.
It was a nail-biting finish Hall maintained the lead in the final 100m to claim the prestigious gold medal with a final time of 3:51.14. The Brazil relay team came in a very close second with a time of 3:51.64 and the Russian's in third clocking 3:52.92.
