The 3MT competition asks Doctoral candidates to present their research in just three minutes, in language appropriate to non-specialists, and with only one single presentation slide to support them.
This year's winner was Imogen Swift for her presentation on her work focusing on a specific genetic form of frontotemporal dementia. She works with blood and spinal fluid samples from affected patients and aim to develop markers for use in exciting upcoming trials and more generally in clinic for diagnosis and prognosis.
