The pilots of the IL-76 planes carried out bombing and live firing from air cannons, the bombing was carried out from a height of 500 meters according to the mock-ups of the airplanes of the conditional enemy located on the runway, the accuracy of the use of aerial bombs was ensured by the standard sighting and navigation system of the Il-76 aircraft.
Combat firing from cannon armament was carried out at an altitude of 400 meters, when the aircraft reached the "vertical" - the position of the aircraft in the air directly above the target, the shooter visually detected the target and fired from the GSh-23 aft aircraft cannon, the shooting was carried out at ground targets, indicating a convoy of equipment of a conditional enemy on the march.
