Today we got adventurous and braved a scooter ride from Canggu, Bali to Ubud. To our surprise, the ride turned out to be quite enjoyable (for the most part) driving on the "backroads" , breathing the fresh air and getting to see many of the rice fields that are popular near Ubud.
Our first stop was at the hidden "Hideaway Swing". We had an amazing time swinging over the jungle and got some really great content and insta worthy shots here! The staff here is a definite highlight of the attraction. They are dang near professionals when it comes to capturing a candid while you have fun and play.
Next, we drove a bit further down south to witness one of Bali's beautiful waterfalls.
There were hardly any people at the falls when we arrived, and only a handful came whilst we were there. Tibumana Waterfall is a true beauty. What we really enjoyed about this visit was the short nature walk down to the falls filled with bright green life, the waterfall itself, and that we could swim in the water!! This waterfall visit was a much BETTER visit than our visit to Tegenungan Waterfall. Tegenungan was filled with tourist top to bottom, is extremely rocky down near the falls so is a bit unpleasant if you are wearing sneakers or hiking shoes, and you can't swim there. We would highly recommend going off the beaten path when it comes to seeing some of Bali's most beautiful sites -- like this one -- Tegenungan Waterfall!
