Are doing weighted hill climbs or sprints as good for leg strength as squats?
The answer is is depend on how much the hilll climb or squats is challenging your strength. fundamentally, the results depend on how much you challenge your functional ability, not on your exercise. So if the hill climb challenges your strength more, that will be more effective for building muscle and strength.
If the squats are done in such a way to challenge your strength more , hen they will be more effective. It's not about the exercise you do; but rather how well you challenge your functional ability.
