Join us on the Walt Disney World Monorail Pub Crawl! Plan a few hours and you can enjoy an evening of drinking around Disney.
We start at the Polynesian. When you get to the Disney toll gate, go to the farthest open right lane and inform the attendant that you are meeting friends at the bar and you shouldn't have to pay parking. Continue up the road to the right, then pull into the Polynesian and inform that attendant of the same thing. Head upstairs to the Tambu Lounge and order a Lapu Lapu. We try to be here by 8pm at the latest! to give us time to order the drink and have it prepared. Then we head back downstairs and out the back door for a short walk to the beach. Towels are available at the pool, just return them on your way back. Then grab a chair and wait for the 9pm fireworks (check Disney's site for times, they may change with the season).
After the fireworks, head back upstairs to the monorail and towards the Grand Floridian. The Mizner Lounge Is directly across from where you enter. Grab a drink and enjoy the live band outside the bar, or head around the corner out to the patio overlooking the lake. Also ask for FREE Nuts and wasabi peas here. One of the few places you can get free stuff at Disney!
Then back to the monorail and to the Contemporary. Head straight up to the 15th floor and make a right to the California Grill bar. No need to check in with the hostess like signs say, if you're only going to the bar, Grab a drink and head towards the doors on your left and enjoy the view looking over Magic Kingdom. If you'd like to stop here first and enjoy an even closer spot to watch the fireworks, you can do that too, but it may be a little crowded.
Finally head to the First Floor, and go to the Wave. Enjoy a nice beer or cocktail under the blue lighting and feel like you're in the ocean. There is also another bar in the lobby outside Chef Mickey's that you can check out if it's open. We discovered California Grill's last call is 11:15, while the Wave's is 11:45. Plan accordingly!
Allot around $40-$60 for drinks. The Lapu Lapu and Grand Floridian were the most expensive, You are on Disney Property after all
