KETTERING -- Police are looking for an armed robber who got away with cash and jewelry Monday night at Jaffe Jewelers, 3951 Far Hills Avenue.Store employees told Kettering Police a man walked into the store wearing a black ski mask and began making demands. He was given a cash box, with an undisclosed amount of money, and he also took jewelry from the display cases.Police said he reportedly displayed a black handgun during the robbery, although no one was injured.The suspect then fled west on foot. A K-9 unit was called to track him but the trail ended at a parking lot, police said, where a vehicle was possibly waiting.The suspect is described as a pale-skinned white male, who is tall and skinny, with dark hair and a stubble beard. In addition to the mask, he was wearing a black coat and black athletic style pants, white gym shoes and a black backpack.Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mason with the Kettering Police Department at 296-2583.
