WhatsApp released its monthly report for January 2023, stating that it banned 29.18 lakh Indian accounts that month. Over 10 lakh of these accounts were proactively banned before user reports. WhatsApp took action against these accounts for violating Indian laws or its Terms of Service, following complaints and detection methods.
