The 8-year-old Centerville girl diagnosed with a very rare form of breast cancer is now recovering from her surgery and the future looks positive, her mother says.
Chrissy Turner's mother Annette Turner said the surgery went well, and the child is returning to her normal self. The best news is doctors have a positive prognosis for her.
"They did a biopsy of lymph nodes - they checked them and will send them out for pathology - but it came showing no cancer has traveled," said Annette Turner. "So we are very, very grateful for that."
