President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered a fresh issuance of title deeds in the controversial Mwea settlement scheme. The President said an earlier process undertaken by the county government was unfair and ordered leaders in Embu County to address the issue.

The President who was on a campaign tour of Embu county also accused NASA leader Raila Odinga of championing divisive politics.

His deputy William Ruto on his part accused Nasa of being held hostage to corrupt cartels.
