We invite you to the last lecture of the 2021-22 “JP2 Lectures” series.
The lecture by professor Stanisław Grygiel (f. vice-president of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family), titled “A Person Is Reborn. A Person Is Not Reformed", was held on June 9, 2022 at the Angelicum.
Professor Stanisław Grygiel – Polish philosopher, philologist and lecturer. Co-founder of the quarterly “In Nuovo Areopago” and its editor-in-chief until 2002. In the years 1980-1983 he was President of the Polish Institute of Christian Culture. He taught courses in the philosophy of man at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome where he held the Karol Wojtyła Chair in philosophical anthropology at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute. He was appointed Consultor of the Pontifical Council for the Family. In 1991 he took part as an auditor in the special Synod for Europe; together with his wife Ludmiła Grygiel, he participated in the Synod for Europe again in 1999.

The monthly open “JP2 Lectures” given by scholars from around the world are offered by the St. John Paul II Institute of Culture at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas – the Angelicum, the Roman Alma Mater of fr.
