This video is a recap of the gear that I used to run the Leadville 100 Trail Ultra Marathon. I wanted to cover the different pieces of gear/equipment as I really didn't see others cover the items they used in detail and I thought this could be helpful to others. This is a long video so that I can detail/list each piece of gear and talk about how I found each one useful. This was my first 100 mile race and I was really happy that my gear worked extremely well for me. I go through my running clothes, shoes, what I ate, what I drank, recovery tools, and so much more.
If you would like to find out more about the project and my journey of losing 125lbs and getting to (and through) running the Leadville 100 please visit www.heavyaslead.com.

Please feel free to leave comments if you have any questions and always remember to be kind :)
FULL DISCLOSURE - I did work with some brands for my race/project , however as mentioned in the video you simply do not run 100 miles in gear that doesn't work for you. This is all gear that I would have purchased separately if I wouldn't have worked with each of these companies and many thanks to them for their support. Special thanks to Arc'teryx, Sitka, Normatec, Rudy Project, Altra, Rudy Project, Path Projects, Compex, Leki, Rumble Roller, Helinox, Health Warrior, Huma Gels, Skratch, Passenger Coffee, Go Think Sport, and Hydrapak for helping to make all of this possible.
