Want super smooth vocal compression every time?


Put an 1176LN Classic Comp on the lead vocal channel

I’m using the one from UAD

Set the input to achieve 3-7 dB of gain reduction,

and adjust the output to match the uncompressed level.

Use a fast attack and a medium release

Set the ratio to 4:1 for a natural, yet controlled sound.

This will help maintain a consistent vocal level without being spiky
