Strategic Minerals PLC's (LON:SML) Chairman Alan Broome talks to Proactive London after last week notifying the market of lodgement of its updated PEPR application for mining at its Leigh Creek Copper Mine project.
The 23rd December announcement mentioned lodging the updated PEPR with the government in January, Broome talks about the plan and why it has been done so early in the year.
As a reminder the firm is now looking for a convertible note/joint venture to fund the restart of operation at its Leigh Creek copper project after debt negotiations ended.
SML said it wants US$10mln at the project level - approximately US$6mln for resumption of production and US$4mln for copper oxide and sulphide exploration.
