The leader of Hong Kong’s biggest journalist group was arrested on September 7, 2022, on suspicion of disorder in public places and obstructing a police officer in the execution of their duties, sources have told the Post. Ronson Chan, chairman of the Hong Kong Journalist Association, was taken into custody after officers intercepted him to conduct a stop and search. International media watchdog Reporters Without Borders called for Chan's “immediate release” following news of his arrest.
