🚸 Oak Creek is a watery oasis in the dry Sedona desert. You can dip your toes, take a refreshing swim, or simply sunbathe at the feet of majestic Cathedral Rock. The ambiance is gorgeous and the sounds are so relaxing. While we didn’t stay for sunset, we heard the view is captivating. Depending on the time of day, you might be lucky enough to have the area all to yourself or you could find yourself jostling for a place to sit. The wondrous flowing water backdropped by Cathedral Rock make it worth the journey either way. 🏜️
🅿️ park at Crescent Moon Picnic Site. There is a fee of $12 to use the lot. There are reservable places for barbecues and a cool historic water mill at the site. Alternately, you can park at Baldwin Trail Trailhead on the opposite side of the water & hike the short distance (about 0.5 miles) to this part of the creek.
🥾Less than 1 mile out & back, easy
⚠️ FYI There are many other areas where you can experience Sedona’s Oak Creek Incuding Grasshopper Point, Slide Rock State Park & Red Rock State Park.
