(10 May 2018) Special voting for security officials started in Baghdad on Thursday ahead of Iraq's parliamentary elections on 12 May.
Police officers and army personnel in Baghdad's Karradah neighbourhood queued to cast their votes two days before the rest of the nation's voters can go to the polls to elect a new parliament.
Nearly 7,000 candidates will vie for 329 seats in the May 12 parliamentary elections, the fourth since the 2003 US-led invasion.
