Day 1 - June 4, 2024
We drove from our home in central Arizona up into Utah. Our first stop was to see the views from the House Rock Valley Overlook. From there we went to the Le Fevre Overlook to see the vast views of the Grand Staircase. We drove farther up Hwy 89 to reach the Moqui Sand Caves just outside of Kanab. We did the short hike and climbed the canyon walls to get to the most amazing man-made caves. We did some exploring and took a bunch of photos and then continued our wanderings and made a couple of interesting stops before we finally reached the Belly of the Dragon. Also off of Hwy 89 not far from the Mount Carmel Tunnel area of Zion National Park. This was a really neat place to wander through. After taking a bunch more photos, we continued our travels towards Bryce Canyon. We reached our hotel fairly late in the day. We unpacked and started preparing for our second day of adventures in Utah.
