If you travel with your laptop, you probably know that it quickly becomes impractical to store all your photos on the internal drive. I've carried a variety of external drives, but one thing is noticeable... speed. The drive speed and interface speed have a huge impact on how fast you can download photos from your camera to your computer. Recently, I tested my Thunderbolt LaCie Rugged drive (an excellent backup drive) against the newly released SanDisk USB 3.1 Extreme Pro memory stick (thumb drive).
Can you put your photos on a thumb drive? Well, it will again depend on how fast it is. Check out my speed test of this new SanDisk thumb drive and see why it's incredibly useful for travel!
