The Pakistan Supreme Court granted bail to cricketer-turned politician in an alleged Al-Qadir Trust graft case. The Supreme Court dubbed Imran Khan’s arrest ‘illegal’, as per ARY News Pakistan. The next 24 hours are crucial for Imran Khan, as the Supreme Court said that the Islamabad Court will further give the final verdict. PTI chief Imran Khan was arrested by Pakistan Rangers outside Islamabad High Court on May 09. Violent protests were witnessed on the streets of Pakistan as Imran Khan’s supporters went on a rampage.
The Islamabad High Court ruled Khan’s arrest 'legal' and granted an eight-day physical remand in Al-Qadir Trust case. Meanwhile, PTI had approached the Pakistan Supreme Court against the IHC verdict on Imran’s arrest.
