I've found being able to install water fittings at custom locations critical to a durable, clean and compact water system. Water tank companies use Spin Welding to install factory fittings, and this video covers how to do the same process if you want to install your own fittings.
The tanks shown in this video are being installed in a 2022 Mercedes Sprinter 4x4. A more comprehensive plumbing video should be posted soon.
I purchased my Spin Welding drive tools and fittings from spinwelding.com. You do need to contact them to place an order, but their prices were considerably cheaper than any other source that publishes their prices.
You'll also need a router, and one that can handle a 1/2" shank is necessary unless you are only installing small (1/2" NPT) size. I've always had great luck with Makita routers so here is one I'd recommend: [ Ссылка ]
There are definitely cheaper routers, but as demonstrated the plunge base helps with stability, and for larger bits like these being able to dial the speed down with the variable speed option is very helpful.
