Worked with a project this summer, fitted R-Line parts on a Passat B8 GTE (based on Highline).
Fitted exhaust tips from 2.0tsi 280hp & bought a legal sport muffler from VW Golf GTI 7.5, but muffler isnt from a regular GTI!
If I had chosen regular it would be same sound as stock GTE muffler cause they are built in same way. This one is the TCR version which is a designed one like M Performance, AMG, RS for giving better sound for the Golf GTI and the difference on Golf is huge. But on Passat stock vs Passat TCR its less sound than a stock regular Golf GTI
So here is a cold start.
1. Clip: Stock Rear Silencer
2. Clip: TCR Rear Silencer
I bought TCR (Golf MK7.5) cause it has wider track than ClubSport S (Golf MK7) & fits my 2.0tsi 280hp pipes well centred.
In this video the exhaust isn’t aligned, just temporary cause its need to be bended a bit at rear axle (I cut too far in). + the GTE exhaust is 55mm, while TCR is 65mm so you need adapter.

Next clip will be exterior video, flyby, dsg farts etc… both before & after video!
It has definitely changed the cold start ups, a bit louder, sounds more like a 2.0l engine than 1.4l & when the heat process is done it has a nice and even sound.
