Heavy rains and strong winds lash Suao in Taiwan's Yilan county as Typhoon Gaemi nears. The island's weather authorities expect Gaemi to be "the strongest" typhoon to hit Taiwan in eight years when it makes landfall around 10 pm (1400 GMT).
