Western Australian researchers, now based at the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Innovative Therapeutics at Murdoch University, are leading the charge on treatments for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Led by Professors Steve Wilton and Sue Fletcher, the research team has now delivered the three U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved treatments for the disease that can treat now almost 30% of patients diagnosed with Duchenne.
