Surprise! Early christians had just about as many different ways and denominations of worshipping as we do today. Gnosticism is a wide term, kind of like an umbrella for many different subsets of belief.
Until the Roman government came in with it's councils and decree's there were many differing beliefs. And some of them honestly...make a lot of sense. No wonder the Catholic Church was threatened.
I ask that you debate kindly. Especially if you consider yourself a Christian. Really really be open to researching this topic.
