Smithers-Oasis and its Floralife division are a leading, worldwide manufacturing, sales and marketing company of floral, postharvest and grower products in the floriculture industry.  Industry innovation and product development are driven by the global research group led by Jim Daly.  In addition to overseeing the Research Departments for Smithers-Oasis, he leads global operations for the Floralife division which is responsible for postharvest care and handling.
Both the Floralife® and OASIS® Grower Businesses are highly dependent on consultative technical selling and continual introduction of innovative technologies.  In order to best capture the synergies of these two businesses, in 2015, Jim assumed additional responsibility for leading the Company’s Global Grower Business.

Jim holds a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. He has served on numerous committees for The Society of American Florists, a group that provides marketing, business and government services to the floral industry and the Wholesale Council.
