In this video we will show you how to terminate Quadrax Contacts.
Quadrax Contacts from Amphenol Socapex are designed to provide high data transfer rates with low power consumption, making them an ideal choice for various applications such as Ethernet, AFDX (Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet), cockpit displays, and in-flight entertainment. These contacts are available in contact size 8 and qualified further to EN3155-074 and 075. They can be used with MIL-DTL-38999, EN3645, EN4165, and ARINC600 connectors, and come in both crimp and PC Tails versions. Modification of cavities size 8 is required to accommodate keyed contacts. Quadrax Contacts have a bandwidth of up to 1.25GHz and can exceed data rates of 2.5Gbps. They have a voltage rating of 500VRms max at sea level and can withstand a dielectric voltage of 1000VAC rms between all inner contacts and 500VAC rms between inner and outer contacts at sea level. It's important to note that for a full duplex Ethernet network, two Quadrax Contacts are needed.
Overall, Quadrax Contacts are an excellent option for applications requiring high-speed data transfer with low power consumption.
